BlogFlash2013 Day 11 Running

Day-11-Running

The way I see it, some folks must be running away from something; War or a possible bad marriage. And some folks like to run toward something. Maybe they need to lose weight, or rush in their future happiness. Then there are those that just like to run for the heck of it. Well, I think there’re crazy! Not all of us have those long, straight, legs that can run and jump like a gazelle. As for me, God blessed me with short legs. Therefore, I waddle more like a duck, at least that’s what my Daddy told be before the birth of my first child. And I’m not running after children anymore. And I have managed to pack on a little weight you know that stuff refused to fall off. And just plain old age has shortened my legs at least two inches. So I think, I can honestly say I won’t be running anywhere, except to the bank after I sign my first check on my new novel.

Very entertaining flash blog – so true that not all of us are made for running!

  2. Joy Keeney says:

I was blessed with short legs as well. If you see me running by I’d highly suggest you join me because there is something chasing me!

  3. That is true! I wasn’t made for running as much as I am for hiking, caving, and climbing. I’m short with strong legs. I’ve gained a little weight, so I have to leave off the extreme caving until I can fit in the narrow passages!

  4. Great use of the prompt. Love the different perspectives.

  5. Hehe. I’m not a runner either. I actually have rather long legs for my height, but they’re the stocky, stand-your-ground type.

  6. Wonderful post, Rhonda! I hope it’s a fabulous check for you!
