Western’s are like Ghost towns.

Why are Westerns so hard to find in today’s market? I love a good Western.  There’s nothing better than a good-looking hero in a pair of tight  fitting jeans and a cowboy hat. Dimples and a fantastic smile is the icing on the cake. The copper skin of Native Americans and their beautiful artwork thrills my soul, I love to listen to their stories and their eagerness to please. But when I finger through the small shelf of westerns at our local Bookstore they are truly lacking. Ghost’s in hiding.

The big six say Westerns are a dying market, but perhaps they are dying out because the big six never marketed them to readers. I say if you love them, write them. If they are good, the readers will come. Good post Rhonda!
